ExtractFoxThese Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ExtractFox (“ExtractFox”, “we”, “us”), available at extractfox.com. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
1. The service
ExtractFox extracts structured data from documents (PDFs, images, scanned files) using AI models. The output is provided as JSON, CSV, or Excel files. The service is offered as a free tier with usage limits and a paid Pro plan with higher limits, billed via Polar.
2. Your account
You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. One person, one account — don't share logins or resell access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service, attempt to circumvent quotas, or violate these Terms.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ExtractFox to:
- Process documents you don't have the legal right to process.
- Attempt to extract data that violates another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, or applicable law.
- Reverse-engineer the service, scrape it, or build a competing product on top of our API output.
- Send malware, attempt to disrupt the service, or probe it for security vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated disclosure to security@extractfox.com.
- Run automated bulk uploads designed to evade per-account quotas (use the Pro plan or contact us about higher limits).
4. Your data
You keep ownership of every document you upload and every extraction we produce for you. We don't train models on your content. Files are processed in-flight and not retained for training purposes. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
You grant us a limited, internal license to process your uploads solely to deliver the extraction back to you and to keep the service running (logging, abuse prevention, debugging on your request).
5. Billing and refunds
Pro is billed monthly via Polar. Charges renew automatically until you cancel from the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
If something goes wrong (a charge you didn't expect, an outage that blocked your work) email hello@extractfox.com within 14 days and we'll make it right.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Quotas, models, and pricing may change with reasonable notice. If we materially reduce what the Pro plan offers, you'll get a prorated refund for the remainder of the period.
7. AI output disclaimer
ExtractFox uses probabilistic models that can make mistakes — wrong totals, misread fields, hallucinated values. Verify extractions before using them in financial, legal, medical, or regulatory contexts. ExtractFox is a tool, not a substitute for human review.
8. Liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, access stops immediately and we'll delete account data within 30 days unless we're legally required to keep some of it.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced by email or in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
