About ExtractFox

AI document data extraction without the template setup that the previous generation of tools required.

Why we built it

The traditional approach to "PDF data extraction" has been brittle for two decades: per-supplier templates, regex on OCR output, manual cleanup. Every change in invoice layout meant a parser rebuild. Every new document type meant a new project.

Multimodal AI models change the shape of this problem. A model that can read a document the way a person does — understanding what an invoice is, where line items live, which numbers are totals — extracts data without templates. ExtractFox is built around this premise: any PDF or image, any layout, structured output you can drop straight into Excel or your accounting system.

How it works

Under the hood, ExtractFox uses Google's Gemini multimodal model. Documents are sent for one-pass extraction with a JSON schema that varies by document type: invoice, receipt, passport, bank statement, contract, resume. For arbitrary requests, the free-text mode generates a schema from your description and then extracts against it.

Files are processed in-flight and not stored long-term. Output comes back as structured JSON, which the UI shapes into a table and exports as Excel, CSV, or JSON.

Who it's for

Accountants and bookkeepers who spend month-end re-keying invoices and bank statements. Recruiters parsing 80 CVs for one role. Real-estate teams abstracting leases. Anyone who keeps moving data from PDFs into spreadsheets by hand.

We sell to individuals and teams direct, not through procurement. The free tier is genuine — try it on a real document before deciding.

What we don't do

We're not a PDF editor, an e-signature tool, or a document management system. We're focused on extraction. Pair us with the tools you already use for those.

How we compare

If you're evaluating us against incumbents, we've written detailed comparisons: vs Docparser, vs Nanonets, and vs Adobe Acrobat.
